Baptism
Baptism is the rite of Christian initiation. It is a sign of God’s commitment to us, and our commitment to Christ. It marks entry into the Christian family. Parents who live in the parish or who worship regularly at St Luke’s may have their children baptised at the church. This is a very important step, and we provide good preparation for the commitments made in baptism. Other parents choose to have a Thanksgiving Service instead.
"God loves both you and your child."
Unusually for an Anglican church, we have a baptistry. Young people and adults who have not been baptised can choose to be baptised by immersion. To order a Baptism Information Pack please contact the church office.
Confirmation
People who have been baptised may reach the point where they want to make a public declaration of their faith in Jesus. If you would like to be confirmed please contact the Church Office.
