Cell groups

As scientists have discovered more about the human body, one thing has become very clear: the health of the body as a whole can be hugely affected by the health, or otherwise, of individual cells.  The same is true for the body of Christ, the church.

Our cell groups play a vital role in the health of the church, through mutual care, encouragement and support; through encountering Christ together in worship and the Bible; and through sharing together in the mission of God.

This last element, mission or witness, easily becomes the poor relation of the '4' Ws' of cell (Welcome, Worship, Word and Witness).  It can be like the last truck of a goods train that sometimes come unhooked from the rest of the train.  We want to make 'Witness' the engine of the train.  We continue to focus on good relationships, prayer and worship, and growing in the Christian faith.  However, our groups will be defined by their mission.  This makes them more exciting groups to belong to.  Groups are diverse and include people from different St Luke's congregations.

If you would like to join a cell group please contact the church office.
