Associate Minister vacancy
A unique opportunity exists for an individual who is passionate about nurturing and growing disciples and releasing ministry in others to be part of a ministry team based at St. Luke’s.
We are looking for someone to work alongside our Vicar, to bring extra leadership capacity and help shape the strategic direction of a number of exciting new initiatives as St. Luke’s seeks to establish itself as a resource church. It offers the chance to be part of an energetic and innovative team who are passionate about seeing God’s kingdom grow. We need someone with experience who can further strengthen leadership across two parishes and multiple congregations and share in the oversight of the staff team.
The major focus of the role will be on developing disciple-making processes, identifying and developing new leaders and supporting potential church planters in order that teams can consistently be released to establish and lead New Worshipping Communities. We have recently planted one new worshipping community in Gamston and the next one will be will in new housing in Edwalton parish.
St. Luke’s is a vibrant, charismatic, evangelical church to the south of Nottingham that works in partnership with The Church of the Holy Rood Edwalton. It is on an exciting journey as it transitions from being a church that faithfully serves its own parish to being a resource church that works with other churches to help them grow their ministry in new ways. It has
been blessed over recent years with new growth and seeing lives transformed.
Central to our vision and ministry is the need to continually build and sustain the healthy core of both churches and remain true to our core values of “Celebrating God”, “Growing in Grace” and “Sharing Jesus”. We are therefore seeking a person with a passion for Jesus, the heart of an evangelist and a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit who loves to see people moving on in their discipleship and faith journey.

This post is open to those ordained within the Church of England who have satisfactorily completed initial ministerial education or experienced lay leaders. A willingness to continue in ongoing ministerial development is essential. It is a full-time, Incumbent-level position requiring a person of considerable enthusiasm, energy and wisdom, who is capable of providing inspirational leadership to the staff team, both churches and within the Deanery.
